Our business

Northcare (Scotland) Ltd is a family run business which has been established for over 20 years and owns care homes in the South Lanarkshire area and expanding into the southside of Glasgow in spring 2012.
We strive to operate our homes as a home in every sense of the word. Clients will be supported to achieve independence and inclusion within the community. Any disabilities will be recognized and honored by providing varying degrees and methods of support to suit the individual concerned. This will be undertaken in an environment which is safe and secure. The clients will be enabled to make choices and work in partnership with the care staff to maximize their quality of life.

Northcare Scotland is one of the few privately owned care homes in the central belt to be awarded with a Customer Service Excellence Award.

All Northcare’s Care Homes provide menus which are reviewed by Diet Scotland to ensure that we are offering nutritious well balanced meals. All our care homes also provide activities programmes, outings and regular entertainment.

At Northcare we pride ourselves on our participation strategy. We hold monthly forums where residents, families and staff make decisions in the running of the homes and the future direction of Northcare. Margaret Sawers, Director, holds monthly surgeries in each of the homes. This is to enable residents and families to raise any concerns or suggestions they may have in a confidential manner.

If requested we can email families an update of their relatives well being. We also have Skype facility which is useful for families who are unable to visit often. This enables families to see and speak to their relative on a regular basis.

Margaret Sawers (Director) lives locally and would be available for any queries that may arise, before or during your stay.
