Allan has played a central role in Northcare’s growth over the past decade, helping to shape and deliver the group’s expanding portfolio of purpose-built luxury residences. With hands on experience across every stage of construction and development, he manages the build quality and on-site delivery of new Northcare homes.
Working closely with the Directors and our internal construction teams, Allan ensures each project reflects Northcare’s exacting standards of design, safety and finish. His practical approach, deep technical knowledge, and long-standing commitment to the family business have been instrumental in bringing our developments to life.
Darren McArdle

Darren plays a central role in delivering Northcare’s new-build developments, managing our construction projects from groundworks to completion. With extensive on-site experience and a practical, solutions-focused approach, he ensures each project progresses smoothly, safely, and to the exacting standards expected across the Northcare portfolio.
As Development Project Director, Darren works closely with the wider construction team and consultants taking responsibility for day-to-day project delivery and ensuring timelines, craftsmanship, and design details are upheld. His calm leadership and commitment to quality are evident in every home he helps bring to life. To date, Darren has successfully delivered over 400 beds in the luxury care home sector for Northcare across multiple locations in Scotland.
